On a routine patrol near Naidupeta forest fringe, the team noticed smoke emanating from a concealed location. Discovered earthen pots containing fermented mash and a copper still apparatus. Seized 48 litres of arrack-type ID liquor along with brewing materials. 2 persons fled the scene; one apprehended.

Found 369 litres of duty-paid liquor in excess of permitted stock with discrepancies in maintenance of stock register. Show-cause notice issued; case registered under permit violation provisions.

Surveillance led to the identification of a clandestine storage at Kavali. Search yielded 80 litres of liquor without valid permit documentation, stored in a private godown attached to a residential property. Two persons arrested. Investigation continues to identify the supply chain.
