Acting on credible information, raid was conducted at Palamaner village in Chittoor district. Discovered an illicit distillation unit operating in a thatched shed behind the residence. Seized 281 litres of unfermented wash, 44 kg of jaggery and approximately 173 kg of molasses kept for fermentation. The chimney structure had been concealed under coconut fronds. 2 persons taken into custody for further enquiry.

While checking inter-state movement at NH65 Aswaraopet, vehicle bearing registration AP11 LG 8256 was intercepted. The driver could not produce valid permits. On search, 203 litres of non-duty-paid liquor in 13 cartons recovered. Vehicle and consignment seized. Driver and conductor taken into custody.

Inspection conducted at retail outlet ES Chittoor 07 Wines in Chittoor based on routine compliance schedule. Found 225 litres of duty-paid liquor in excess of permitted stock with discrepancies in maintenance of stock register. Show-cause notice issued; case registered under permit violation provisions.

Conducted enforcement raid at Dhone based on prior intelligence. The premises had been raided once earlier in 2022. Discovered fresh evidence of distillation. Seized 366 litres of ID liquor, three plastic drums and one fermentation vessel. Habitual offender — case registered for repeat violation.

On a routine patrol near Kandukur forest fringe, the team noticed smoke emanating from a concealed location. Discovered earthen pots containing fermented mash and a copper still apparatus. Seized 252 litres of arrack-type ID liquor along with brewing materials. 3 persons fled the scene; one apprehended.
