Acting on credible information, raid was conducted at Puttur village in Tirupati district. Discovered an illicit distillation unit operating in a thatched shed behind the residence. Seized 105 litres of unfermented wash, 34 kg of jaggery and approximately 62 kg of molasses kept for fermentation. The chimney structure had been concealed under coconut fronds. 5 persons taken into custody for further enquiry.
